Simplify Your Day with Routines: Learn how to create flexible systems that work across grades and levels — so you can stop juggling and start teaching with intention!

Teaching ELLs across multiple grades and proficiency levels can feel like a nonstop juggling act. One minute you're prepping for newcomers, the next you're supporting intermediate students in mainstream content — all while trying to plan meaningful instruction. That’s why our Day 3 focus is all about routines — specifically, how to design generic routines you can use across levels to bring consistency to your teaching and clarity to your students.

We’ll show you how to build flexible, repeatable systems that work no matter what group you’re teaching.

This matters for more than just your sanity. Routines are critical for ELLs because they lower the affective filter — that invisible emotional barrier that can block language acquisition when students feel anxious, overwhelmed, or confused. When ELLs know what to expect and how to engage, they feel safer, more confident, and ready to participate!
